BioI live in Hell's Kitchen. It was where I got my nickname: Daredevil. It was where, for good or ill, my dad raised me.
It was where he died, because he was a good, honest man, living in a corner of New York Hell.
I lost my sight when I was 12, but I gained something else. Then, I went to college and became a part of the system, to change it from within.
It hasn't been working out as well as I'd like, but the most important lesson I ever learned from my dad was that you never stop fighting until that final bell has rung.
I never have, and I never will, be it in the courtroom, or on the streets.
